Dormouse

Something a bit different.

I dug out my fimo and went back to modelling things, a pastime that had rather fallen by the wayside when I started uni. I've been wanting to get back into it so I can model some jewellery to sell, but this was an experiment purely for me. Because I've always wanted a dormouse.
Since I'm in Australia, this is about as close as I'm going to get to one. It's pretty much life size and weight for a juvenile, as far as I can tell.

I was using fimo soft, because I can no longer buy fimo classic here - but it was really old fimo soft, so it felt much more like classic. Later tries with new fimo soft were pretty much failures, because it's too soft to lend itself to my technique. I used grey fimo and painted it after I'd fired it.

Materials: Grey Fimo Soft polymer clay, Karat Liqua beeswax paints, Windsor & Newton watercolours, Krylon Triple-Thick Crystal Clear Glaze.
Time Taken: About 4 hours modeling, 2 painting.
