Sean Connery in "The Russia House"
My first attempt at a portrait in coloured pencil (Dewent artists)
Did it about a week ago- was up late doing maths, and was watching TV to break the monotony, saw said film, and ended up awake until three doing this. Finally dragged myself away, and finished it the next day. Hope you like it!

**UPDATE**
This got me 1st prize at a country show I enter every year! I So, consequently, I am proud! =D

very nice! U managed to get the right look, I think :) His nature is fully there. I adore this man!
wow! very good! i like the way you can see the pencil strokes in it still :) nice work!
Thankyou! I left the pencil strokes in intentionally, becuase Sean Connery is fairy old, and so he has a fairly textured face. I'm doing one of Renee Zelweiger now, and I am trying to make that one smoother...
Thankyou! I try to make my portaits as accurate as possible. It was a bit hard though- I was drawing from a very small, very chunky and pixelated screen-capture that I found on a fan-site. I couldnt even see one of his eyes. so bits are guesswork. I'm glad it turned out right!
fantastic..usally its only black-white in the portraits gallery...but i love this collored one!!great job
Well, I love colour, and having finally tracked down some portrait-shades in my derwents (The only art shop in Western Australia does not stock dewents, and no one will ship art supplies here either, so it was a bit of a bother) I am on a definate colour-spree =P
Thanks for the comment!
:D My daddy loves sean connery.

it looks great. he looks very serious or maybe even stoic in this portrait. the colors are awesome. great job!!!
beautiful drawing, i just have the hardest time doing the flesh color in colored pencils, u did a really good job
Thanks! I used a set of pencils specifically for portraiture, which made my job a little easier. I'm glad you think it turned out ok!
