Artist's Comments

**Sorry about the watermarks- there have been too many cases of art being stolen lately ;) **

This is the ninth Doctor- as soon as I saw him, I knew I had to draw him, but it took 12 weeks until we got a DVD, and I could get a screen-capture - none of the photos I could find on the net fitted what I wanted. I wanted him smiling, for one thing.
If parts of this look a little odd, that is because I had a reference only for the face- a reference from a shot inside the TARDIS. I moved him outside, using 2 photographs of the TARDIS as references for the background, a photograph of my mother with her arms folded for his arms, and another photograph of the Doctor in his leather jacket, in a different position, to get the jacket as accurate as I could.
Please try not to nit-pick *too* hard. I did my best, and, for what I had to work from, I think I did a pretty good job. I'm proud of it.

Materials: 0.5 mechanical pencil with B lead, 8B solid graphite pencil, blending stumps, tissues, cotton-buds, kneadable eraser, plastic eraser
Size: just slightly under A3
Time Taken: 20 hours, give or take

Enjoy and please tell me what you think =D

It's very well done! I would never have suspected that you used several different references, and even after you mentioned it, i still can't tell! And i applaud your patience!

Thats a great drawing of him, I loved the seires and he was great as the doctor, he must have been very challenging to draw because his face has such odd proportions, but you've managed to get him very accurately, well done!
