This year's Christmas cards.
I always hand make all our cards - madness, as we have quite a long list, and this year I have over 60 to make. This was inspired by two wonderful photos by ~b-e-c-k-y-stock although the poses are pretty much all that's recognizable now. It's a digital painting, but this image is a scan of a print out, to display it the way it is meant to be seen - with the layered background. Each print is individually cut out and glued onto the card. I rarely find out what people thought of my cards, so I thought that this year I would upload an image here. I'm pretty busy, so I didn't spend anywhere near as much time as I would have liked on this, having rather to squeeze in enough time for it, and so some areas are a bit too unrefined for my taste, but I quite like it, all the same. I hope you do too! If anyone wants to see screenshots of the image's progress, just say the word, and I'll compile some for you. Time Taken: Around 10 hours, I'd say. Perhaps a little more. Not long enough, anyway. Program: Photoshop CS, with Wacom Intuos 3 References: [link] and [link] by Enjoy! |

I agree, hand-made cards are best (although a bit tedious to make in large quantities

It is. They made me pretty grumpy, but I've finished them all now. *dances*
